“Strengthening Justice Systems for Children: Challenges, including disengagement from violent extremism”

From 28th to 30th May 2018 at UNESCO House in Paris, six international NGOs, including Terre des Hommes, in collaboration with UNESCO through the Information For All Programme are organising the World Congress on Justice for Children “Strengthening Justice Systems for Children: Challenges, including disengagement from violent extremism”.
During 3 days, more than 600 participants are expected to discuss child justice and violent extremism in 10 plenary sessions and 26 workshops.
What it will address:
➜ The global trend towards children’s involvement in violent extremism and possible responses,
➜ The need for more effective ways to reduce juvenile offending and recidivism,
➜ How to improve protection mechanisms for vulnerable children, including early prevention.
The 2018 World Congress aims to bring together professionals and stakeholders from all around the world to share their perspectives on:
➜ youth and family justice,
➜ the prevention of offending and violent extremism
