Boys and girls feel unprotected from the risks on the web, yet from 2016 to 2021 in Italy, 80% of hate speech proceedings ended in dismissal or acquittal.

In the aftermath of the political agreement on the European Digital Services Act, on the 10th of May, Terre des Hommes Italy presented, in the presence of Italian Minister for Equal Opportunities and Family Elena Bonetti, some proposals for a regulatory reform designed to enhance the defence of young victims of online violence and thus protect hundreds of children and adolescents.
