New York, 15 July 2013 – A child on the move must be guaranteed access to services, protection and justice regardless of migration status. Immigration detention of children must stop: those are the two key messages delivered by Ignacio Packer, Secretary General of Terre des Hommes International Federation at the Hearing priot to the UN High Level Dialogue on Migration and Development.

Last 15 July 2013, 300 civil society representatives and over 80 state representatives gathered in New York for the Interactive Hearings prior to the High Level Dialogue (HLD) on Migration and Development (3 and 4 October); they came together to dialogue on the many different and complex issues of Migration and Development.
